Barentz Appoints New CEO for EMEA

Lars Schneider has been working for Brenntag since 2003 holding various leadership roles in Germany, Italy, Canada and Americas.

Barentz International B.V. has named Lars Schneider the new chief executive officer for the EMEA region, starting from Oct. 1.

Schneider will also become a member of the Barentz board.

Schneider’s career spans over 20 years of industry experience. He has been working for Brenntag since 2003 holding various leadership roles in Germany, Italy, Canada and Americas. Most recently, he served as president, Specialties Americas, and subsequently as global president, material science and specialties North America.

Terry Hill, interim CEO of Barentz, said Schneider will strengthen the company’s position and further support its business growth in the EMEA region.

“I am honored to join Barentz and to lead the EMEA region toward continued success,” said Schneider. “This is a dynamic time for the industry, and I look forward to leveraging the strengths of Barentz talented teams to drive innovation and growth. My focus will be on fostering collaboration, enhancing our principal and customer relationships, and building on the strong foundation that Barentz has established in the region over its more 70-year history.”
