BASF Launches Inorganic UV Filter

BASF announced today the launch of Z-Cote LSA, its latest inorganic, broad-spectrum ultraviolet (UV) light filter. Z-Cote LSA provides broad-spectrum protection from long wave UVA rays and medium wave UVB rays by physically scattering, reflecting and absorbing solar radiation.

The filter is hypoallergenic, making it an ideal ingredient for use in daily skin moisturizers and beach wear products formulated for sensitive skin. Z-Cote LSA and its increased particle size complements BASF’s current Z-Coteproduct line, offering excellent transparency and outstanding dispersing properties to address previously unmet market needs.
