Biotech French Skincare Brand Orveda Introduces ‘Phenomenon’ in Hand Care with Youth Glove Protocol

According to biotech French skincare brand Orveda, hand rejuvenation has received increased focus as an area for cosmetic treatments.

Per the brand, the hands play a critical role in giving away a person’s age, as they represent the degree of photodamage and volume loss. Photoaging on the hands is multifactorial, ranging from subcutaneous changes (volume loss) to dermal/epidermal changes (solar elastosis or lentigines).

Orveda, an expert on longevity and in the discovery of “zombie cells,” also known as senescent cells, has launched what it’s calling a new “phenomenon” in hand care.

The brand has applied its research into longevity and cellular senescence for the face, as well as its learnings from hand rejuvenating procedures in aesthetic clinics, to create a hand care protocol that works in an innovative way.

The Orveda Youth Glove Protocol is a comprehensive at-home treatment that targets the hand’s dorsal area. Inspired by the way consumers visit an aesthetic clinic for a facial “tweakment,” and then follow up at home with specialized skincare, the Youth Glove Protocol is designed to deliver a highly intensive treatment once a week, at home, followed by daily maintenance.

The three components – an intensive serum hand mask, a filler hand cream and a pair of silicone gloves – are designed to work together to refill skin’s lost volume (+23%), firm the skin on the hands (+50%) and help to brighten and clarify skin texture where the skin has thinned (+16%).
