Interpolymer has introduced a breakthrough in long-lasting, water-based nail polish technology. Based on Syntran PC5620, this technology is designated SAFE—a “State-of-the-art” Acrylate Film-forming Emulsion with superior gloss, adhesion, water resistance and hardness.

Interpolymer’s proprietary SAFE technology also provides quick dry time, as well as the capability to formulate a nail polish that is not only “hydrating” but promotes healthy growth of nails and is compatible with water-based “actives.”

The company’s SAFE technology eliminates concern for safety hazards, toxicity and VOC issues currently facing solvent-based nail enamels containing nitrocellulose. Syntran PC 5620 allows the formulator freedom to develop nail polish formulations that are non-toxic, have virtually no odor, and contain no acetates, acetone, phthalates, or toluene—without loss in performance.
