Breo International has introduced its first product, Vivacity Calendula Foaming Facial Wash with Ginkgo Biloba. The Spanaway, WA-based firm marked the occasion with a celebration and ribbon cutting that also established its presence in the local community.

“We wanted to establish our presence in the industry and that we have plans to stay and compete with other businesses such as our own,” said Breo International president Yevgeny Gil. “The beauty industry is a sea of competition, and filled with many sardines, if you will. What we hope to do is to set ourselves apart from our competition and be a sea turtle instead of a sardine. A sea turtle has an extraordinary life from birth. Thousands of sea turtles go to a beach to lay their eggs. When it is time for the hatchlings to burst out of their shell, there are predators and challenges already awaiting them. Thousands of sea turtles dart for the open sea, and the ones who make it begin their life in the ocean, set apart from any other marine animal. The extraordinary thing about the sea turtle is that it returns to the same beach from which it was born when it is their time to lay their eggs into the sand.”

According to Gil, for each 8oz size of the wash Breo sells, it will donate $2 to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research in Seattle, WA.

“We know the struggle of being a small business, and we give back to our community because we don’t forget where we came from,” Gil added.
