Last summer, multi-platinum rocker Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship fame, aimed to strike a chord with men to build an emotive connection with his new skincare brand Brotege that fosters self-care for “bros.”

A year after he debuted Good Boy Protection, a daily moisturizer with retinol and SPF 15, the cruelty-free men’s skincare brand is pulling the trigger on a unique lip balm trio not found in stores, says the brand.

Outlaw Folklore Inspo

The outlaw-inspired lip balms are packaged in unloaded 20-gauge shotgun shells (custom-fitted with a standard twist-up balm mechanism).

Each variation is named for three famed figures from the annals of outlaw folklore, and each flavor is inspired by a cocktail from that outlaw’s respective corner of the world: El Chapo (tequila sunrise berry); Kalashnikov (Moscow mule mint); and Dillinger (vanilla bourbon). Additionally, the latter two variations both include SPF 15 sun protection, while El Chapo is 100% all-natural beeswax.

Despite its edgy design, the brand’s new secret weapon is carry-on safe.

“The question everyone wants to know is, ‘Can you bring it in your carry-on for flights?’” Saporta said. “I actually tested going through security with it myself, and I haven’t had a problem yet. I’m just waiting for the TSA to stop me and ask about it. From now on, I’m wearing my Meta Ray-Bans to record everything as I go through security — just in case.”
