Candace Matthews Appointed President Of Softsheen/Carson

Candace Matthews has been appointed presdient of Soft Sheen/Carson by Jean-Paul Agon, president and chief executive officer of L’Oreal USA. Ms. Matthews joins L’Oreal USA from The Coca-Cola Company, where she was most recently vice president, new product and package innovation. Prior to that, she served as managing director, non-cola brands. Before joining Coca Cola, Ms. Matthews held senior marketing roles at the Ciba Vision Corporation, Bausch & Lomb, Cover Girl Cosmetics and at General Mills, where she began her marketing career. “Candace has a proven track record as a strategic manager, with experience on several global brands,” said Mr. Agon. “Her extensive management experience, passion for the beauty care business and involvement in the African-American community makes her an excellent choice to succeed Terri Gardner.”
