Charlene Zappa Named CMO of Haircare Brand ‘Not Your Mother’s’

Past Gillette Venus and Pantene executive oversaw legacy brands and redefined market relevance and consumer engagement.

Charlene Zappa has been named chief marketing officer of Not Your Mother’s Haircare.

Before her appointment, Zappa led brands such as Folgers Coffee Co., Gillette Venus and Pantene, and revitalized brands like Clairol Herbal Essences and Clairol Nice ‘n Easy. She also oversaw legacy brands, including the 375-year-old Fiskars, where she redefined market relevance and consumer engagement.

Zappa has also spearheaded award-winning campaigns and product launches, earning top industry accolades, including 2022 Cannes and Clio Awards, 2021 Top 20 TikTok Culture Driver and Nielsen Breakthrough and IRI Pacesetter Top 20 Non-Food Launches in 2019, 2017 and 2015. She has also successfully led P&L growth across diverse markets, including the US, Europe, Latin America, China and Asia Pacific.
