Church & Dwight Reports First Quarter Earnings

For the first quarter ended March 28, 2008, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. reported a net income of $56.2 million, an increase of 23% over last year. Net sales increased approximately 7.5% to $552.9 million, while operating income increased 13% to $92.8 million.

The company recently announced price increases on Arm & Hammer powder laundry detergent and Nice’n Fluffy liquid fabric softener effective May 12, 2008.
