City of Hope Lauds Laura Geller

Cosmetics marketer recognized for philanthropic work.

New York-based makeup artist and cosmetics entrepreneur Laura Geller is being honored by the non-profit organization City of Hope at their annual Spirit of Life luncheon on May 25 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.A dedicated advocate for raising both funds and awareness to support a variety of charitable causes, Geller will be recognized alongside Co-President of City of Hope’s East End Chapter Honey Cook and “Good Morning America anchor” Robin Roberts.

As the second bestselling color cosmetic line at QVC, Geller is known for her signature series’ of cosmetics which include “Baked”, “Spackle”, “Real Deal” and the latest “Whipped” franchise. A supporter of many philanthropic causes, she has affiliated the brand with several charitable organizations.For example, in an effort to build awareness for the lung cancer epidemic, Geller partnered with the Joan’s Legacy Foundation with the creation of her famed Brow Marker.For every Brow Marker sold, $1 was donated to Joan’s Legacy: The Joan Scarangello Foundation to Conquer Lung Cancer to raise funds for lung cancer research.

In 2010, Geller began to support the CEW Cancer and Careers program, donating $1 from the sale of each i-Care Eyeliner Duo to the organization which is dedicated to changing the face of cancer in the workplace by providing resources and support for employees with cancer and their employers, healthcare providers, coworkers and caregivers.
