Cognis (Booth No. E100) is launching several new ingredients at In-Cosmetics. Cutina HVG is a highly efficient consistency wax that is compatible with most commonly used raw materials. Its excellent crystallization behavior has a positive impact on the stability and viscosity of the final emulsion.

Eumulgin Prisma is a high performance, cost-efficient emulsifier, which is derived from natural sources. The material can be used in a wide range of applications, especially sun care, due to its good electrolyte and pigment compatibility.

Cognis calls new Euperlan Green the first “green” pearlizing wax dispersion that is vegetable-based and ethylene oxide- and amine-free. It is said to be ideal for use in hair and body cleansing formulations that require a natural, sustainable profile. The easy-to-use liquid formula is cold-processable.

Lamesoft Care is a micronized lipid dispersion for use in power conditioning shampoos. In tests, Lamesoft Care improved wet combability and significantly reduced breakage. Furthermore, as a wax dispersion, it imparts a luxurious and elegant pearl shine effect to shampoo and shower products.

Finally, Plantasil Micro, is billed as Cognis’ answer for the demand for green shampoos with good conditioning properties. This easy-to-formulate transparent microemulsion is highly compatible with a wide range of surfactants.
