Cold Process Waxes from Jeen International

JEEN International (Booth No. 458) recently introduced its patent-pending, water dispersible Jeesperse Cold Process Waxes (CPW). This breakthrough technology was developed to simplify both formulating and manufacturing processes by bringing waxes into energy saving, environmentally sustainable cold process approaches. Comprised of wax/gellant optimized powders, Jeesperse CPW products form stable emulsions when introduced into room temperature water that impart exceptional aesthetic, suspension, emulsification and stability properties to creams and lotions.

While saving time and increasing manufacturing capacity is the ultimate benefit to this technology, utilizing cold process can greatly reduce energy used—water will be conserved along with the energy traditionally used to heat and cool multiple formulating vessels. Aside from the manufacturing benefits, recognizing that using wax in a formulation without melting is a breakthrough in our industry both on the bench and in the plant, a technology which imparts a different range of texture and feel in various formulations versus conventional methods of producing emulsions by melting wax in oil.
