What’s new for Spring 2011 in color cosmetics? Alot, according to beauty marketers. The bronzer category continues to grow, with quadruple the number of users turning to this tanning alternative to achieve a sunkissed glow. Also hot right now is glitter eyeliner/mascara overlay and vitamin-infused facial primers.

Physicians Formula ups the ante with Cashmere Wear ($13.95), a pampering way to get a tan glow with the added anti-aging benefit of 100% pure cashmere extract, according to the company. The surface of the powder is created using a specialized technique to deliver the lush look of cabled cashmere knitwear, while the powder itself is comprised of multiple complementary bronze and gold tones. Hyaluronic acid delivers superior moisturization benefits as well.

There’s a new meaning to “OMG!”… that’s right, the must-have Over Mascara Glitter & Liner ($24) from celebrity makeup artist Ramy. According to the company, the “2-In-1” mascara wand and eyeliner applicator work together to deliver a unique, three-dimensional holographic shimmer to eyes.

For 2011, TheBalm is set to debut TimeBalm Primer ($30), a silky-smooth, vitamin-rich primer that conditions the complexion, according to the company. The product is infused with vitamins A, C and E as well as allantoin and bioflavonoid, both anti-inflammatory ingredients.
