The Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA) is launching a series of lunch-time audio conferences with international leaders of cosmetic and personal care product trade associations.

“As a global industry, we need to do a better job of sharing real-time information from across the world about regulatory and political changes facing the cosmetics and personal care industry,” said Pam Bailey, CTFA president and chief executive officer. “These audio conference featuring the heads of the international trade associations will be an important resource for our members in formulating their global marketing and regulatory strategies.”

The first audio conference in the series is for CTFA members only and will feature Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CCTFA) chief executive officer Bill Penney in an event entitled, “Brown Bag it With Bill Penney and His Team.” The conference will take place this week on Thursday, April 27 from 12:30 to 2:00pm EST. The focus will be on regulatory issues for Canada and specific strategies CCTFA is undertaking this year. CCTFA president and chief executive officer Bill Penney, as well as Carl Carter, CCTFA vice president, government relations and regulatory affairs and Kathleen Ljubisic, manager, regulatory affairs, will be featured during the conference.

Revisions to the overall cosmetic laws, environmental protection laws and the new natural products law are current concerns in Canada. With more than 175 member companies, the organization represents the main voice of the industry by maintaining frequent communication with government regulators to ensure the development and accurate representation of industry positions on all regulatory issues.

CTFA will hold numerous other audio conferences in the near future. More info: www.ctfa.org; Louis Santucci: (202) 331-1700.
