Deadline for Teamworks Technical Presentations is Feb. 1

The Midwest Chapter of the SCC has issued its call for presentations and posters for Teamworks, its yearly industry expo and technical symposium. To be held March 22 in Rosemont, IL, this year’s technical symposium topic is: “The ‘New Normal’ in Home & Personal Care.”

The submission deadline for paper presentations and student posters is Feb, 1, according to the chapter. There is an online application that can be accessed here. 

Speakers will have a 20-minute presentation opportunity. Student posters will be displayed from 12pm – 4:30 pm. No sales pitches are accepted; only practical, engaging content from industry visionaries.  

Abstracts will be selected through a professional committee utilizing an objective points-based system of criteria in the areas of:
• Scientific/educational value;
• Pertinence of subject/material to our audience; and
• Uniqueness versus other presented papers/topics.

All papers/posters with obvious application for both home and personal care— and not just one of these markets—will automatically get one point prior to judging the remaining criteria listed, said organizers.

Communication about acceptance will come no later than Feb. 15. All presenting speakers and poster presenters will be required to register separately for Teamworks.
