Del Laboratories Inc. announced increased sales and earnings for the fourth quarter and full year ended Dec. 31, 2003. Net sales for the fourth quarter of 2003 were $94.8 million, a 15% in-crease compared to net sales of $82.2 million for the fourth quarter of 2002. The net sales growth was fueled by double-digit increases in both the cosmetic and pharmaceutical segments. Net earnings for fourth quarter 2003 were $385.9 million, an increase of 10% over net sales of $350.6 million in 2002. Results for 2003 included after-tax charges of $1.2 million related to severance costs associated with the relocation of all Farmingdale, NY manufacturing operations to Rocky Point, NC.
