LAB21, Inc., New York, has launched a new anti-aging, anti-acne therapy for adults based on its patent-pending DNA technology made possible by the completion of the Human Genome Project. The cream will prevent new blemishes from coming to the surface, help current blemishes heal and reduce the scarring and marks caused by previous breakouts due to individual DNA analysis, without the side effects of topical medications. Executives said more than 80 million Americans experience acne blemishes every year, and 75% are between ages 25-49. Acne blemishes, if untreated, can last a lifetime and lead to pre-mature skin aging. LAB21 is offering licenses to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
