DS Laboratories Enters Fantastic Sams

According to DS Laboratories owner Divine Skin Inc., the cosmeceutical distribution agreement should be worth $4.6 million per year when fully implemented—in about six months—based on $300 per month per door. Fulfillment has already begun with the Florida locations, and demand has been better than expected, reaching $1,000 per month in some salons, the company said.

DS Laboratories products include Spectral.RS, a minoxidil-free leave-in treatment that competes with Rogaine, and Revita hair-growth-stimulating shampoo.

Revita.COR, a hair-growth-stimulating conditioner, will ship in 2010. Encapsulated in hydrophobic, bio-adhesive lipospheres, its active ingredients, including plant-based stem cells, adhere to the scalp tenaciously for maximum hair-growth benefit, even while swimming, according to the company.
