Nanjing Cosmos Chemical Co. to manufacture Parsol Max and Parsol Shield

DSM and Nanjing Cosmos Chemical Co., Ltd have forged an exclusive strategic partnership to produce Parsol Max and Parsol Shield UV filters. The collaboration enables DSM to offer the largest portfolio of UV filters in the world. It also ensures a competitive supply chain for these products as well as expansion capabilities sufficient to meet growing market demands. The two products will be produced on Cosmos's newly built Sinobest production site.. The Sinobest production site is ICH Q7 GMP-guideline compliant and already has sufficient capacity to cover growing global market demands for the products. “We would like to express our admiration for the excellent technical cooperation and efficient collaboration displayed by our two teams, who executed a technically highly challenging project in a very short time,” said Bill Zhou, chairman of Nanjing Cosmos Chemical Co., Ltd. “Also, we are pleased to be a strategic technology partner with DSM. Our two companies share the same vision of providing our customers with leading technology and product advancements to satisfy their every need, and we look forward to expanding the collaboration in the future.” The opening ceremony for the new manufacturing plant took place in the presence of Ji Xiang, deputy major of Ma Anshan City, and Lang Ping, director of the management committee of Cihu Industrial Park, as well as high level representatives from DSM and Cosmos. “Today's announcement represents another solid step on our journey to strengthen our foundations in the sun care sector” said Wilfrid Gambade, president, DSM Personal Care. “At DSM we are committed to substantial investment of time and money in this segment, and the partnership with Cosmos will help us deliver on our ambition to revolutionize the sun segment, making sun protection more appealing for consumers. It will also reinforce our already strong strategy of customer intimacy, which we want to take to a new level in our Sun Care partnerships.”
