DSM Nutritional Products (Booth No. G100) has introduced Regu-Cea, an active complex of ingredients to fight the symptoms of rosacea (subtype I) and red skin at multiple levels and to intercept the cascade of events toward damage. Regu-Cea contains: • Spent grain wax, which imparts itch-relieving, replenishing and skin-soothing properties. It also exerts anti-irritant effects and antihistaminic properties. • Palmitoyl tripeptide-5, which stimulates the production of collagen, repairs extracellular matrix damage and firms the skin. Its protective function is based on the inhibition of MMP expression and proinflammatory cytokines. • Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) helps to soothe skin irritation and to recover epidermal barrier function. It also has antioxidative properties. At use levels of 3-5%, it reduces skin redness and symptoms of rosacea, helps relieve and repair from skin irritation; helps prevent vasodilation; inhibits inflammation and the release of proteases; helps to prevent damage to the skin structure and provides excellent skin-soothing properties.
