US Patent 12,558,300 B1; Michael Nghiem Le of Wichita, KS was awarded a US patent for his method of treating the feet in a foot bath. The formulation, which is designed to be used in water, includes two dry powder mixtures that are packaged separately.

One powder includes sodium bicarbonate as a primary ingredient (at least 90% by weight) and maltodextrin, aloe vera, talc powder and fragrance. The other contains citric acid as a primary ingredient (at least 90% citric acid in powder form by weight) and menthol crystals, lecithin, polyquaternium 37 and aloe vera in powder form by weight.

The sodium and citric acid correspond so that the resulting pH of foot bath is between 3 and 10.
