ELC Names New SVP of Consumer Engagement

Former Viacom SVP to help drive "ELC's evolution in digital-first world."

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has announced two key strategic appointments today that it says will help further expand its capabilities in consumer engagement and digital, and to continue to strengthen corporate communications globally.
 
Damon Burrell has joined the company as senior vice president, consumer engagement. He will report to Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou, EVP, corporate marketing.
 
Burrell’s appointment will help drive ELC’s evolution in today’s digital-first world, the company said.
 
Burrell will be responsible for continuing to advance the company’s consumer engagement capabilities to further enable seamless consumer experiences across all touch points and channels. With nearly 20 years of experience across a diverse array of marketing capabilities, He is well known as an early adopter and leader in digital and social media. Most recently Burrell was at Viacom as SVP, 360 marketing for Nickelodeon.

The firm alos announced that Anna Klein has been appointed vice president, corporate affairs, effective July 1, 2016. She will continue to report to Alexandra C. Trower, EVP, global communications.

Klein will expand her responsibilities to include oversight of corporate communications in the regions, working closely with the company’s regional leadership teams. In her role, she will continue to strengthen and accelerate a global communications strategy to further align business priorities, manage issues, enable risk mitigation, and identify areas of opportunity to continue advancing ELC and its brands.
