eSalon Expands Internationally

eSalon, a US-based company that sells custom hair color shipped direct to consumers, is moving into the UK with both a localized site (esalon.co.uk) and customer service team. The company also announced that it has immediate plans to expand into Canada and the EU.

Within the EU, eSalon will ship directly to Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden, with customer service centralized through their new London office, the company said.

Since the company's launch in 2010, eSalon has produced more than 80,000 unique hair color formulations and has shipped more than one million color applications. It has more than 100,000 active customers, 85% of which receive their color products via recurring subscription.

“We've turned the color market on its head, by delivering custom formulated salon-quality color for less than they would tip a colorist. We are excited about our continued success, confirmation of our vision and expansion overseas,” noted Francisco Gimenez, eSalon's co-founder and CEO.
