Estee Lauder Appoints Todd C. First General Manager, jane cosmetics

The Estee Lauder Companies announced the appointment of Todd C. First to general manager, jane cosmetics, effective immediately. He will report directly to Dan Brestle, group president, Estee Lauder Companies.

As general manager, Mr. First will oversee the jane cosmetics brand sold throughout the U.S. in mass merchandisers and chain drug stores.

He most recently held the position of vice president of sales for jane, and was part of the original management team. He joined the company in 1994, building the sales and sales service organizations from the ground up. As well as helping to build jane’s sales, Mr. First also secured distribution in all accounts, currently numbered at over 15,000 retail outlets. He also developed jane’s strategic sales and trade marketing plans.

From 1984-1994, Mr. First held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility from sales representative to account executive with the Procter & Gamble Company. His most recent position prior to joining jane was account executive on the Procter & Gamble Kmart team where he managed all cosmetics and fragrance business.
