Estee Lauder CEO’s Bonus Tops $1.5 Million

Estee Lauder Cos. approved a $1.52 million 2006 fiscal-year bonus for Chief Executive William P. Lauder.

The New York-based cosmetics company also approved a $1.37 million bonus for chairman Leonard A. Lauder, according to the company’s filing Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

For the 2005 fiscal year, William Lauder got a $1.8 million bonus and Leonard Lauder got a $1.6 million bonus, according to the company’s last proxy statement.

Last month, Estee Lauder reported earnings for the year ended June 30 of $44.5 million, or $1.12 a share, down from the previous year’s earnings of $66.6 million, or $1.78 a share. The stock fell 1 percent during the fiscal year.
