Estee Lauder Names Poccia Senior VP General Manager, Stila Cosmetics North America

The Estee Lauder Companies Inc., New York, appointed Claudia Poccia senior vice president general manager, Stila Cosmetics North America, effective January 15, 2003.

She will report directly to Jeanine Lobell, founder and president Stila Cosmetics and Dan Brestle, group president, The Estee Lauder Companies. Claudia will succeed Phebe Farrow Port, who has been acting vice president general manager Stila North America for two years, and will become vice president corporate management strategies, The Estee Lauder Companies. Joellen Bradford will remain the International vice president general manager, Stila Cosmetics also reporting to Dan Brestle.

Jeanine Lobell stated, “I’ve loved working with Claudia over the past three years in sales and education. She really gets what makes Stila unique and has great instincts.” Dan Brestle added, “Claudia is ideally suited to lead the Stila brand in North America. Her retail experience in the field, her ability to motivate and lead the team, and her passion for Stila make Claudia the perfect fit.”

Claudia was vice president, sales and education for Stila from 2000 to the present, where she established the infrastructure to support sales and marketing efforts and position the brand for future growth. She joined Estee Lauder USA/Canada in 1994 where she held various positions of increasing responsibility from director of special events to regional marketing director to vice president business development. Before that she was a director field marketing for Avon and held various positions at Giorgio Beverly Hills from regional sales manager to vice president, field sales. Claudia began her career in cosmetics in 1984 as an account executive for the designer fragrance division of L’Oreal.
