Just For Men is title sponsor of World Beard & Moustache Championships on Oct. 25.

Is your Fu Manchu ready? The 2014 Just For Men World Beard and Moustache Championships is just days away.

The Combe, Inc.-owned brand is the title sponsor of the event, which will take place Oct. 25 in Portland, OR. 
 
In the spirit of the champsionship, Just For Men released study results on facial hair. The study shows that self-expression is the No. 1 reason men sport facial hair. They also claim it makes them feel more masculine and attractive, and their partners like it.

According to the survey, one in six men wouldn't shave their beard for any amount of money, and among those that would consider shaving, half would require more than $5,000 to make the move.

While a majority of men sport traditional beards and moustaches, 5% are more daring, rocking mutton chops, handlebars and Fu Manchus.

The survey found that average man spends more than 100 hours a year grooming his facial hair. (So imagine how much time that 5% spends…)

Contestants will compete in 18 categories ranging from the delicate Dali moustache to the anything-goes full beard freestyle. The grand prize is an all-expense paid trip to next year's world championships in Austria.
