Each year, The Fragrance Foundation is delighted to host VIPs from the fragrance industry as well as superstars from stage, screen and TV at The FiFi Awards Celebration. Over 800 guests mix and mingle with the outstanding talents being honored on May 25 at Lincoln Center with a coveted crystal statuette that recognizes their inspirational contributions to the fragrance industry. Attending this year’s celebration and receiving FiFi Awards are: Halle Berry,Fergie and Jean Paul Gaultier, with other celebrity guests/presenters to be announced. Berry will take the 2011 FiFi Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award. This commendation, presented by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, is to honor a celebrity who has embraced and promoted the world of fragrance over a period of time. It celebrates the ongoing success and support given by the celebrity to the industry and therefore attracting consumers to the category. An Academy Award winning actress, beauty and fashion icon, Berry has created a collection of fragrances that have all been infused with her unique vision and favorite ingredients. Her first signature fragrance, Halle by Halle Berry, was introduced in 2009. In 2010, Pure Orchid was launched. Fergie earned the 2011 FiFi New Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award. Selected by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, this award recognizes a celebrity whose very first fragrance has enjoyed instant success with the consumer and brought recognition to the fragrance category. Independent, confident and true to herself, multi-platinum and award-winning artist Fergie knows how to command attention. Now her bold expression and magnetic appeal are captured in a provocative new fragrance: Outspoken by Fergie. Inspired by the multi-talented star’s spontaneous attitude and belief in herself, Outspoken by Fergie is a bold floral fruity fragrance with a raw edge. Both Berry and Fergie were featured in Happi’s spring fragrance feature. As previously reported in Happi, the 2011 FiFi Hall of Fame Award will go to Jean Paul Gaultier.
