‘Get the Look’ from BASF

Innovative products and market concepts on display at booth 301.

BASF will feature its latest innovations and market concepts runway style in booth 301. Under the new Care Creations global brand for BASF Personal Care, the company will present its innovations, which combine science excellence with a deep understanding of market and consumer needs. Products on display include:


Luvigel FIT, a liquid thickener that is tailor-made for clear and smooth hair-styling gels. Based on hydrophobic alkali swellable emulsion (HASE) technology, it works synergistically with various styling polymers so high setting performance can be easily achieved.


PlantasilRelaxcare, an innovative product for the ethnic hair care market, is based on a new technology that strengthens and reduces damage to hair during treatment without compromising the straightening efficacy.


Plantapon TF is a natural surfactant blend for use in gentle cleansing formulations. Glyceryl oleate provides conditioning to the hair and skin while alkl polyglucosides softly rinse away any dirt and impurities. Skin is left feeling nourished and smooth.


Chione M SVA is a high purity, synthetic mica-based performance effect pigment with a clean, white color. Its hydrophobicity and amino acid content create a uniquely soft, velvety feel on the skin.


Actiwhite is a synergistic complex of sucrose dilaurate and pea extract which offers the decisive advantage to combine rapidly visible in vivo effectiveness on both skin lightening and reduction of age spots, also in compliance with Asian regulatory requirements and high-cutaneous tolerance. In addition to its previously demonstrated efficacy on skin lightening, the new carried out clinical tests have highlighted its capability to visibly reduce the contrast between the skin tone and the hyperpigmented age spot area in just 14 days.


Flamenco Summer Gold creates a metallic, modern, healthy look to personal care products. It is a pigment composition of mica and titanium dioxide and naturally derived with an average particle size of ~70um.


Eperuline is a preservative-free bark extract of the tree Eperua falcata, that has been developed to address inflammaging in a comprehensive way. Eperuline fights against chronic low grade inflammation and its visible consequences on skin aging, which leads to a perceivable improvement on skin biomechanical properties as well as restoring the skin barrier integrity.


Finally, Sqisandrylisa preservative-free extract from Schisandra berries which was shown to stimulate the production oftwo key structural compounds involved in the stability of the DEJ:collagen17 and ladinin-1. Sqisandryl helps preserve the integrity and functionality of the DEJ, resulting in a noticeable increase of the skin’s resilience, elasticity and firmness.
