Gillette Co. has withdrawn its request for a German court to halt rival razor maker Energizer Holdings Inc. from selling two Schick razors in the country, the two companies said on Thursday. But patent infringement claims by Gillette will still go to trial.

Gillette has alleged that Energizer’s Schick Wilkinson Sword unit infringes three of its patents with the Schick Quattro handle, the Schick Intuition shower caddy and the shape of the skin conditioning solid and blade configuration of the Intuition cartridge.

Gillette allegedly withdrew the request for a preliminary injunction to halt the sale of the razors in Germany when a German patent court indicated it would deny Gillette’s request.
