Givaudan Profits Drops

Swiss flavors and fragrance company Givaudan announced first half sales of $1.13 billion, a decrease of 2.2%. In local currencies, sales were flat.
At $233.5 million, earnings before interest and taxes dipped 1.7%. Net profit also declined 8.8% to $172.2 million. Givaudan said its fragrance sales grew 2% in local currencies.
