Global Cleaning Products Market To Hit $55 Billion in 2009

New study predicts CAGR of 5.1% between 2009-2014.

The global cleaning products market will finish out 2009 at approximately $55 billion, growing by 1.1% over 2008 estimates, according to a new study from IntertechPira. The market is projected to top $70 billion by 2014, representing a CAGR of 5.1%, the company said.

Sector-wise, laundry is the largest category at approximately $30.7 billion, followed by surface cleaners at $18.5 billion and dishwashers at $5.8 billion. Most of these products are used in the home sector, with approximately 20% being used in industrial and institution situations, according to the study.
