Hard Surface Disinfectant Composition Patented by Clorox

US Patent No. 11,959,045 B2 (Xuanrong Guo, Barbara Ekerdt, David R. Scheuing, Nancy A. Falk); The Clorox Company patented hard surface disinfecting composition that has a score of 4 minutes or greater for an EpiOcular assay (ET50) while providing at least a 3-log reduction in a Staphylococcus aureus population within 4 minutes or less. The composition is comprised of citric acid; 0.01-1% by weight of an anionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of: alkyl sulfates, alkyl sulfonates, and mixtures or combinations thereof; one or more non-volatile glycol solvents; a fatty acid; and water. The pH of the composition is less than 2.5.
