CMP Princeton announced that HBA Global Expo, North America’s largest industry-specific event for the cosmetics, personal care and fragrance industries, will now be known as Health & Beauty America. The new name coincides with the program’s tenth anniversary.

In accordance with the growing trend of specialization within trade shows, the organizers of HBA will introduce a series of industry-specific sectors within HBA. Starting in 2003, PCITX (Personal Care Ingredients & Technology Expo) will debut as a show within a show at HBA, October 21-23, 2003 in New York. PCITX will provide a focused forum for R&D departments of marketing and private label companies. At PCITX, attendees will explore new product development ideas with the introduction of new technologies while learning how to reduce costs and improve the efficacy of new and existing products.

“These changes will greatly benefit all our visitors. With specialized sectors on the show floor-beginning with PCITX-attendees will be able to spend their time at the event more efficiently and be totally immersed in the entire business of beauty and wellness,” stated Jack Gonzalez, show director of HBA. “Marketers, product development personnel, packaging development professionals, and technical and R&D personnel will all find solutions in the various stages of product development at HBA. They will also learn about the latest trends and future industry directions through the conference programs.”

In addition, HBA will organize two separate mid-year educational forums that will provide timely information on topics for marketing and R&D executives. High Performance Ingredients & Emerging Technology World Congress will take place April 22-23, 2003 in New York and the Prestige Packaging & Design Symposium will also take place simultaneously at the Roosevelt Hotel.
