The Personal Care Ingredients & Technology Exposition (PCITX) division of Health & Beauty America (HBA) will offer a two-day symposia focusing on new product development. The Advance Technical Conferences & Selected Exhibition will take place April 13-14, 2004 at the New York Sheraton Hotel & Towers in New York City. Topics include high performance ingredients, high function colors and high function naturals.The conference was designed so attendees can attend one symposium both days, or attend different sessions in any of the three symposia. The high performance ingredient symposium will be headed by William Schmitt, former head of Unilever HPC R&D, and will address new ingredients, technologies and methodologies. Some topics include the efficacy of OTC drugs and cosmeceuticals, wrinkle repair, an alternative to Botox, delivery systems, fractal polymers, natural inulin-based emulsifiers and peptides.The high impact colors symposium, overseen by Julio Russ, senior vice president of R&D, color products and skin care, Revlon, Inc., will cover color measurement, safety and regulation, appearance and future color trends.The high function naturals presentations will explore the abundant use of natural ingredients in the product development of cosmetics, personal care and fragrances, and examine new trends in fragrances, regulatory issues and specific applications for ingredients and aroma chemicals.In addition, the Advance Technical Conference will also an exhibition and tabletop exhibition on Tuesday night to give attendees in-depth information from specific industry suppliers.The HBA is also presenting a mid-year conference on Innovative Packaging, May 4-5, 2004 at the Westin Hotel in Times Square, New York.
