HCPA & ISSA Host ‘Keeping It Clean’ Event

Kimberly Goetz, legislative coordinator for the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program, will provide an overview of the Washington State Department of Ecology’s work on cleaning products.

The Household and Commercial Products Association and the International Sanitary Supply Association will host a “Keeping It Clean: Regulatory Compliance Review” on Monday, Nov. 18 from 8 am to 5 pm at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Kimberly Goetz, legislative coordinator for the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program, will provide an overview of the Washington State Department of Ecology’s work on cleaning products, with a focus on chemicals management policies through the Safer Products for Washington program. Attendees will hear specifically about potential reporting requirements or restrictions for certain chemicals in cleaning products. This session will also discuss the post-consumer recycled content program, which sets specific recycled content rates for cleaning products.

Goetz has served as legislative coordinator for the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program since 2008. In this role, she serves as the program’s senior regulatory policy analyst, provides statutory and regulatory interpretation guidance, manages legislator and stakeholder relations, and assists with implementation of both new and existing regulatory programs.

The HCPA & ISSA member rate is $579 and $839 for non-members.
