Skin cleansing brand debuts next week.
July 23, 2020
By: Happi Staff
Cleanser-focused skin care brand HoliFrog will jump over to HSN next week in its home-shopping debut. Company Co-Founder Emily Parr will be on-air twice on Wednesday, July 29 to provide details on Sunapee Sacred-C Vitamin C Brightening Powder Wash (7am) and Como Popp-E Renewal Scrubby Wash (9pm). HoliFrog is already available on Dermstore and Net-a-porter. Later this year, the brand will debut in nine Nordstrom doors and online. Parr has also been focused on growing HoliFrog’s own channel with an emphasis on e-mail marketing and communication, especially with mass closures of brick-and-mortar stores this year. Parr got the idea for HoliFrog after her skin was “congested” from years of applying sunscreen and “sweaty 10-mile runs.” After more than a decade of buying, trying and face washing, she wasn't happy with products on the market. HoliFrog (Hollistic Frog) uses “bioactive” ingredients without irritating skin, according to the company. Specifically, HoliFrog's HoliGrail includes: Exfoliation: There are two types of exfoliation — physical and chemical. Physical involves any kind of manual removal of dead skin cells, HoliFrog recommends a wet washcloth. Chemical exfoliation uses acids to remove dead skin cells. There are many kinds of exfoliating acids and they’re used in different percentages so you can really customize what works best for your skin without irritating it. Vitamins: Good to eat and good to wear, HoliFrog washes are said to contain “a veritable vitamin alphabet,” all included for their unique nourishing abilities to help your skin function at its best. Some of our favorites include A, C, E, F, K, B… Non-Fragrant Plant Oils: Plants make some of the most powerful ingredients, full of fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants, and emollients. Products are said to be fragrance-free. Antioxidants: Included in all formulas. Skin-Identical Ingredients: Ingredients like cholesterol, squalane and ceramides that mimic the connective substances between skin cells and keeps them together to maintain the skin’s external structure. Cell-Communicating Ingredients: Like tiny life coaches for skin cells, these cell-signaling substances intervene in bad cell behavior by encouraging skin cells to do better (and behave as a healthy skin cell would). They create a positive dialogue with other skin cells, which in turn means skin behaves healthier as a whole.
