ICMAD Awards Young Designers

The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors Association (ICMAD) honored three winners of the 2002 ICMAD Young Designers competition on Oct. 15. Tammy Teehan, a Fashion Institute of Technology student, took first prize and $2,500 for her “Blue Goo Styling Gel.” The $1,500 second prize winner was Jessica Weber of Columbus College of Art for her “Soothe Relaxa-tion Package.” James Vondra, a student from the American Academy of Art, earned the $1000 third place prize for his “UVShield Sunblock.”
Judges included Jerome Berard of Berard Associates; Allen Burke of QVC; Geoffrey Donaldson of The Sea Change Group; Annette Green of The Fra-grance Foundation; Gregg Lukasie-wicz of Lukasiewicz Design and Kenneth Noskin.
The night ended with the presentation “Igniting brand with youth” from Don Petit of jane Cosmetics.
