ICMAD Finalists Revealed

Celebrating indie beauty at its best, the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) announced the finalists for the seventh annual Cosmetic Innovators of The Year (CITY) Awards, taking place Wednesday, June 20^th at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City (6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.).

The 35 beauty brands were selected by a panel of industry experts, who casted their votes based on innovative products, packaging, and advertising / marketing concepts from 2011. Janet Gurwitch, founder and former CEO of Laura Mercier Cosmetics, will be the keynote and special presenter at the event; along with Pam Busiek, CEO and president of ICMAD where they will reveal the winners that evening.

In addition to winning the CITY Award this year, the winners also will take part in the first-ever CITY 2012 Beauty Trunk Show. This all-new initiative will give the winners another platform to display their award-winning products at national retailers. The retailers include Ron Robinson, Apothia, Beauty.com, C.O. Bigelow, Henri Bendel New York and Skins 6|2. The CITY Beauty Trunk Show will take place simultaneously at all retailers in late August.
