Organizers of In-Cosmetics have launched the show’s first-ever app. Designed to enhance the experience for attendees before, during and after the show, the app allows visitors to navigate and source the latest exhibition information. Key features include a full exhibitor directory and a What’s On section, with regular updates on show themes, allowing visitors to plan their trip to In-Cosmetics in advance. The app also enables attendees to create their own personalized agenda, covering favorite exhibitors, speakers, seminars and products to see at the show. It includes a QR reader—enabling visitors to scan codes prior to and at the exhibition to obtain key information, such as presentation slides post-show. “In-Cosmetics is all about representing the latest, cutting edge developments from within the industry, so we’re delighted to be launching our show app. It means that visitors will have a live event guide in their pocket, providing real time information on all of the show’s aspects. There’s always lots going on at In-Cosmetics and with all the event information at their fingertips, visitors can make sure that they’re really maximizing their time and making the most of the show,” said Cathy Laporte, group marketing manager for In-Cosmetics at Reed Exhibitions. The app, which has been sponsored by Ashland, will be regularly updated in the run up to the show to include a full event schedule, latest floor plan and speaker listings. Exhibition news will be delivered direct to a dedicated mail inbox, alongside social media updates from the In-Cosmetics Twitter feed, blog, YouTube channel and Flickr.
