Indie Beauty Brand ‘Clean Your Dirty Face’ Promotes Refill Program

Founder sees tariff complexities as a ‘silver lining’ for product sales.

While tariffs on imported goods are throwing a wrench into many supply chains, there’s a silver lining emerging in the beauty industry—refill programs are finally getting their moment.

And for Clean Your Dirty Face the timing couldn’t be more clear.

“We’re going all in on our Refill Program,” says CEO & Founder Shama Patel.

According to Patel: “We’ve had a refill system in place for the past two years, but with custom packaging costs rising and tariff uncertainty swirling, we see this as the perfect opportunity to double down. It’s not just good business, it’s better for our customers and the planet. Our packaging (some of which is made in China) may face delays or higher costs, but our formulas and products are all made in the USA, meaning we can continue delivering high-quality skincare without interruption.”

She added: “While the current tariff situation is far from ideal, it’s forcing brands to rethink their operations in ways that ultimately benefit the customer. Clean Your Dirty Face is embracing the challenge by leaning further into its refill program, an initiative that not only counters rising packaging costs but also supports more sustainable consumption.”
