New York Road Runners, the nonprofit behind the New York City Marathon, will host the Maybelline Women’s Half on Sunday, April 26.

Thousands of women will gather in Central Park for this 13.1-mile race to celebrate beauty, strength and friendship while raising funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

This year’s race will be the 20th-running of the annual Women’s Half and the second annual Maybelline Women’s Half, after Maybelline became the event’s title sponsor last year.

This sponsorship marked an expansion of New York Road Runners and Maybelline’s collaboration after it became its first cosmetics sponsor at the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. Given Maybelline’s focus on high-performance products, officials say this event is a “natural extension” of the brand’s mission—supporting strength, endurance and resilience, on the pavement and beyond.

Maybelline is partnering with select influencers to run the race on behalf of the brand. These include:

Nadya Okamoto, a content creator, author, and founder of the sustainable menstrual product brand August and the nonprofit Period, which fights to end period poverty and stigma. Okamoto will be running the half marathon alongside her two sisters, Issa and Ameya;

Lily Shimbashi, founder and CEO of Sportsish, a sports and lifestyle media brand written and created for women, by women; and

Camila Ramon, reportedly the first Peloton instructor to teach cycling classes in both English and Spanish.
