Inter Parfums Sees Lower 3Q Sales

Inter Parfums Inc., said its third-quarter sales would be lower than what it reported two weeks ago. The company expects sales of roughly $75.5 million for the third quarter, and about $207.9 million for the nine months ended Sept. 30. The company attributed the change to a shift in timing for some sales to the fourth quarter from the third quarter. Earlier, on Oct. 17, Inter Parfums Inc. said that third-quarter sales were $77.2 million, while sales in this year’s first three quarters totaled $210 million. It still expects to post full-year earnings of $14.6 million, or 71 cents per share, on sales of about $274 million. Wall Street’s consensus 2005 profit view is 72 cents per share, the average of four analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial, on sales of $275.4 million.
