Because there are no quick fixes to combat hair loss, scalp care has become a growing interest on social media among consumers interested in solving the vexing beauty concern.

In fact, according to market research firm Spate, #scalpcare is seeing a +149.3% month-over-month growth on TikTok, with scalp serums and oils drenching the market.

After conducting a thorough search of the most-searched ingredients alongside hair and scalp treatments in the US, consumers have been putting their faith in rosemary oil to achieve fuller hair. While rosemary oil was once dismissed as a passing fad, Google search data tells a different story. With an average of 119K monthly searches and a year-over-year growth of +26.0%, rosemary oil is proving to be highly sought-after.

The top volume hair trends related to rosemary oil are “hair oil” and “hair growth oil,” indicating that consumers are actively seeking rosemary oil as a potential solution for stimulating hair growth.

While there is competition, with Mielle Organics, Hask and Weleda leading the market, ample room exists for both established heritage brands and trendy newcomers to make their mark.

Spate recommends a combination of clinical studies, compelling before-and-after TikToks and a handwritten sans-serif font as a winning formula for scalp care products.
