‘Intro To Skin Toxicology’ Webinar from CDR

Dr. Nava Dayan to host new online series starting this month.

“Introduction to Skin Toxicology” is the first in a new series of 12 webinars that will be taught in 2013 by the Center for Dermal Research.


This presentation, which will be held Jan. 31 from 12noon to 1:30 pm and presented by Dr. Nava Dayan, will explain the unique nature of the skin as the largest organ in the body that is exposed to environmental insult and the key aspects that outline toxicological evaluation of exposure when required.



It will further delve into the notionsand prerequisites in the industry that are shaping progress in research and validation of alternative methods to assess effects on skin. A section will be devoted to explaining the considerations that differentiate skin toxicology from toxicity to other organs in the body and when systemic toxicity may be a concern.



The class is designed for professionals in the industry, academia, medical community, regulatory and government organizations that are interested in thestudy of skin safety/ toxicology. By the end of the webinar attendees will be able to understand the key considerations of skin exposure to insult, list the main studies that are required for toxicological evaluation, describe the notion and direction in the industry and become familiar with a few of the regulatory bodies involved.


Individual sessions are $175 each or all 12 webinars are $1800.There will be limited seating for those who would like to attend the presentation at the Center for Dermal Research.
