Organizers of the International Package Design Awards (IPDA) 2003, which will be held in conjunction with Heath & Beauty America (HBA) 2003 Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, announced the deadline for entries is May 15.The awards showcase innovative packaging from designers, suppliers and marketing companies. The awards include any package introduced to the U.S. or anywhere in the world from June 1, 2002 to May 30, 2003, as well as any packaging introduced internationally prior to May 30, 2003 but not in the U.S. until June 1, 2002.The Committee of 100 selects the five finalists in each category: mass distribution cosmetics, fragrance, skin care and personal care, and limited distribution cosmetics, fragrance and skin care. The finalists are then submitted to a panel of approximately 30 judges hailing from packaging and design departments at major marketing companies.The IPDA awards will be held on the first night of the HBA, on Sept. 30.
