The Center for Dermal Research's Innovations in Dermatological Sciences 2015 conference will take place in November at the Heldrich Hotel, New Brunswick, NJ. This year's event marks the 25th year of the New Jersey Symposium on Biomaterials Science. This event will be held in New Brunswick, NJ and is regarded as the premier regional meeting on Biomaterials, according to CDR.

Gil Yosipovitch MD will present: Itch: More than Scratching the Surface at Derm Day on November 10, 2015 as the plenary speaker.  Pruritus, commonly called itch, is defined as a sensation that induces the desire to scratch and is caused by a complex interface between skin, keratinocytes, cutaneous nerve fibers, pruritogenic molecules, and both the peripheral and central nervous system.  This talk will focus on the role of the neural system in itch and the interplay between epidermal barrier signaling, upregulated immune and neural cascades, and the activation of structures in the peripheral and central nervous system.
