It’s Raining Fragrance for Father’s Day, Hallelujah!

Men’s fragrance sales for Father’s Day are expected to exceed $215 million this year.

Ahh, the sweet smell of success.

With the arrival of Father’s Day, consumers are skimping on the polo shirts and sentimental mugs and going straight for the bottles… of cologne that is!

Per Circana, men’s fragrance sales in the US are up 11% based on sales revenue, and 10% based on units sold this year, versus 2023.

This year, the amount of men’s fragrance products sold has increased at nearly two times the rate compared to women’s product, per analysts. And those statistics aren’t surprising. During the three weeks leading up to and including Father’s Day weekend, sales of men’s prestige fragrance sales typically double in size.

Analysts say men’s fragrance sales for Father’s Day are expected to exceed $215 million in 2024.

Said Jacquelyn Wenskus, fragrance category analyst at Circana, “If the continued strength of the fragrance market is any indicator of what’s to come for Father’s Day, the industry can once again expect promising results.”

Yves Saint Laurent’s MYSLF Eau de Parfum won Fragrance of the Year in the men’s prestige category at the Fragrance Foundation’s 51st awards gala on June 5.
