In the “for what it’s worth” department, investment guru Jim Cramer is hawking Johnson & Johnson stock these days. In a recent interview with TheStreet.com, Mr. Cramer says he likes what he sees at J&J, as the company aggressively promotes its top-selling consumer brands like Johnson’s Baby, Aveeno and Neutrogena. Last year, sales of these products pushed the company’s personal care sales past $7 billion.

The emphasis on personal care continued into the first halfof 2009. Whlle second quarter sales declined 7.4% to $15.2 billion for the second quarter of 2009, worldwide consumer sales slipped by only 4.5% to $3.9 billion. The company credited the gains, in part, to the strong sales of Listerine antiseptic mouthrinse as well as Neutrogena and Aveeno.
