Kao Patents Hair Cleanser U.S. Patent No. 7,776,806 B2; Kao Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has patented a hair cleansing composition that is comprised of sulfate surfactant; p-toluenesulfonic acid, naphthalenesulfonic acid or a salt thereof of either acid; an organic acid selected from the group consisting of malic acid, glycolic acid and lactic acid; and an organic solvent comprising polypropylene glycol having a molecular weight of 200-5000; and optionally, at least one selected from the group consisting of ethanol and benzyl alcohol. The composition has a pH of 3-5 at 25°C when diluted to 20 times the weight with water. Detergent Patented by Henkel U.S. Patent No. 7,781,389 B2; Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, Düsseldorf, Germany, has patented a detergent or cleaning agent. It contains a bleaching agent-containing washing or cleaning agent comprising at least one particulate phthalimidoperoxyalkanoic acid, Zn ions and a phosphonocarboxylic acid. Reckitt Patents Multi-Emulsion Hard Surface Cleaners U.S. Patent No. 7,776,812 B2; Reckitt Benckiser (UK) Limited, Slough, Berkshire, UK, has patented a method of cleaning a hard surface. It entails a hard surface cleaning composition that contains a multiple emulsion system that is oil-in-water-in-oil type or water-in-oil-in-water type and at least two mutually incompatible or antagonistic active ingredients separated in the system by an oily or aqueous phase. At least two active ingredients previously held in separate phases of the system are brought into contact with each other and react to form different or enhanced active ingredients for use in the hard surface cleaning composition. Effective stabilization of the emulsion system is by particulate moieties comprising a hydrophobic particulate moiety and a hydrophilic particulate moiety. Phosphate-Free ADD Has Better Spotting Performance U.S. Patent No. 7,781,387 B2; Access Business Group International, LLC, Ada, MI, has patented a dry automatic dishwashing detergent (ADD). It is comprised of a base that includes one or more of a sulfate, a carbonate, a citrate and a silicate; nonionic surfactant; a spot reduction system that includes a polyacrylate and a carboxymethyl inulin; an enzyme system that includes subtilisin derived from Bacillus subtilis and an alkaline stable protease; and an oxygen bleaching agent. New Sunless Tanner U.S. Patent No. 7,780,954 B2; Conopco, Inc., Englewood Cliffs, NJ, has patented a cosmetic product for imparting a glow or sunless tan to skin. It is comprised of a tanning agent, a color-enhancing agent that is a crosslinked cationic copolymer that is acrylamide/acryloylethyl trimethylammonium chloride/ tris(hydroxymethyl)acrylamidomethane copolymer and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. Unit Dose Fabric Treatment Patented by Sun Products U.S. Patent No. 7,763,579 B2; The Sun Products Corporation, Wilton, CT, has patented a method of preparing a unit dose fabric treatment. It entails preparing a liquid fabric treatment composition comprising one or more soaps and a plasticizer from a premix composition comprising an ester-containing soap precursor, a base material, optionally a solvent and water. The amount of water in the premix composition is from 0.1-20% weight of the premix composition wherein components are reacted together, in the presence of the water, at a reaction temperature of 50-100°C to produce the soap and the plasticizer. The liquid fabric treatment composition is placed in a water soluble container formed from a water soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohols, polyvinyl alcohol copolymers, partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, alkyl celluloses, ethers and esters of alkyl cellulosics, hydroxyl alkyl, carboxy methyl cellulose sodium, dextrin, maltodextrin, water soluble polyacrylates, water soluble polyacrylamides and acrylic acid/maleic anhydride copolymers.
